Wedding Woes

I always dreamed of planning my own wedding. I thought it would be like in the movies, how everything is beautiful and a dream and smooth sailing.

It has been far from that.

Hellloooo stress!

I had no idea HOW I would/will be paying for this wedding. Things are so expensive.

Everytime I save, something comes up and that money deminishes.

I had a VERY big emotional breakdown.

Like.. big. (My poor mommy)

And then I prayed that somehow, some way, we could figure it out and it would work out.

I really don't want to have to move our wedding date. Cause I don't know how much longer the distance is gonna work before it kills me ;)

And of course, right after my breakdown.. A HUGE BLESSING HAPPENS!

Our Engagements? They are being done for F-R-E-E! Because she is trying to build her portfolio more. Thats a few hundred to go towards the down payment on our venue.

Then, a girl that works with my boss just got married, and she has my dream dress. Seriously. It's perfect. Guess what? She GAVE it to me. Yeah, gave it. She said she is just happy that someone else gets to wear it and feel like a princess. Thats another $500-$1000 saved.
Not only that, she gave me her veil as well. $200 dollars saved.

One of my friends also just got married, all of her vases and jars and tree's are in storage. She says I can use them. Half of my decorations are now taken care of $400 dollars saved.

My brother in law is a baker. He can make my cake for cheap. $200 saved.

Blessings, blessings EVERYWHERE!

I have no idea what I have done right, but heaven is looking after me. :)

I am SO blessed! So, so, soooo blessed!

No more wedding woes.

This girl is getting married! No pushing a wedding date back!

Thank goodness! :)

  1. Yay! Love the lord's tender mercies!

We found a lot of great deals for our wedding, here's just a few (hope you don't mind that i'm sharing!)

We got our invites printed at McNeils printers in orem. wE had 400 printed (invites, temple cards, registry cards) for $140. it was a great deal!

flowers are pretty expensive, but you can cut out the cost by making the bouquet and boutineres yourself or have someone you know make them for you (youtube it, they're pretty easy!)plus, if you want to go simple, just do your immediate fam. not everyone needs to have them. :)

if you needs nice plastic cups or plates or utensils get them at costco. that's the cheapest.

my earrings were $5 from forever 21 and my shoes were from a thrift store. no joke. :)

if you need frames, buy them at DI for a dollar or two and spray paint them the color you want. (muuuch cheaper than buying a $15 frame!)

    :)

  4. Wedding's are crazy expensive. Planning ours has been intersting. But at the end of the day, we just always remind ourselves that we're excited about the marriage. Not the wedding.
